Director Enterprise Architecture

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Director Enterprise Architecture to join our team. This role is responsible for establishing the architecture vision, principles, and governance mechanisms that guide the organization's technology and product investments. It leads a team of domain-aligned architects and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, enabling transformational change through sound architectural direction. Additionally, this role is critical to advancing the organization's enterprise modernization and transformation goals.

Strategic Leadership

• Defines and drives the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap in alignment with business strategy and transformation goals.
• Partners with Product, Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure leaders to align on scalable, sustainable architectural decisions.
• Embeds architectural thinking early in portfolio and product lifecycle planning.

Team & Capability Development

• Leads and mentors a team of five enterprise architects, each aligned to a specific domain or value stream.
• Establishes scalable mechanisms and reusable frameworks for architecture delivery across projects and domains.
• Fosters a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the architecture team.

Architecture Governance & Enablement

• Develops and implements architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails to guide technology decisions at scale.
• Oversees architecture governance processes to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality across all initiatives.
• Manages the enterprise architecture repository, ensuring up-to-date artifacts reflecting current and future state architecture.

Enterprise-Wide Collaboration

• Serves as a strategic partner to the Office of the CTO and other executive stakeholders.
• Translates complex technical decisions into business-aligned strategies and outcomes.
• Facilitates architecture reviews and steering committees to support enterprise decision-making.

Technology Portfolio & Modernization

• Supports application rationalization, legacy modernization, and future-state planning.
• Leads assessments for buy/build decisions and third-party solution evaluations.
• Aligns architectural work with enterprise planning, Forward Phase II, and other strategic initiatives.

We Are Interested In Speaking With Individuals With The Following

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
• Ten (10) plus years experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
• Five (5) plus years of experience in a leadership role managing architects or cross functional architecture teams.
• Experience with AWS architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of architectural modeling tools and frameworks.
• Experience aligning architecture strategy with business value streams and product portfolios.
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Proven experience leading architecture strategy and teams within a complex, multi-domain organization.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence across business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and create clarity for senior decision-makers.
• Expertise across modern architecture domains including cloud, microservices, integration, data, and security.
• Deep understanding of domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and agile product delivery.

Salary: $168,000 - $261,000

Bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
