We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Anti Money Laundering/Prevention/Know Your Client to join our Sanctions and SAR Control team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and will work a Hybrid schedule.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Manage the AML/KYC/Prevention function assigned to research, prepare and review basic and complex client profiles for clients that vary in risk and complexity.
Manage function staff involved in preparing and reviewing client profiles for high profile clients and monitoring global issues, risks and events to determine impact on clients’ risk level.
Serve as the organization’s resource for management in areas related to AML/KYC/Prevention.
Develop and manage the review framework, ensuring the process from preparation to approval is equipped with appropriate checks and balances to ensure accuracy.
Serve as the escalation point for exceptional issues regarding high risk and complex client profiles, keeping leadership apprised of potential areas of concern.
Act as a functional advisor on the impact of client risk reviews.
Partner with functional leadership on coordination of AML/KYC/Prevention procedures and policies in overall compliance strategy.
Ensure training programs address department findings and organizational needs.
Ensure staff development in area of expertise.
Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively as a team.
Provide feedback in critical situations.
Manage the AML/KYC/Prevention function and be responsible for achievement of function goals.
Ensure the team is equipped to operationalize and attain team objectives.
Manage financial resources of the team including budgets and expenses.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
10-15 years of total work experience preferred with 3-5 years management experience preferred.
Experience in trading, brokerage, fraud or law is preferred.
Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
