The role leads the BMO Commercial Bank Policy & Procedures team, collaborating with various defense partners and stakeholders. The position provides expert guidance on underwriting, risk return, and portfolio management to establish policies aligned with the business's risk appetite, regulatory standards, and growth objectives. Success is measured by timely delivery, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role involves understanding the business, facilitating communication, and managing team members, including managers, business, and technology resources.

Understand regulatory requirements and risk appetite; design and communicate policies and procedures for effective risk management.
Contribute to revising corporate policies to ensure market relevance and compliance; provide input on operational parameters based on market changes.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory and documentation of policies, procedures, and templates.
Monitor performance against review schedules, address issues, and report monthly on overdue reviews.
Manage intranet pages for procedures, including administration and controls.
Communicate updates on policies and procedures effectively.
Build collaborative teams across functions to maximize stakeholder value.
Attract, develop, and retain top talent; improve team performance and recognize achievements.
Advise senior leaders on business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Develop understanding of business challenges and gather industry insights.
Recommend organizational improvements, serve on committees, and influence business objectives.
Identify emerging issues and trends for informed decision-making.
Lead resource management and strategic initiatives to meet business and financial goals.
Develop business cases, prioritize initiatives, and create roadmaps for execution.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including regulators.
Define analytics and reporting needs for data-driven decisions.
Lead change management initiatives, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation.
Assess and develop operational programs to ensure ongoing success.
Oversee operational planning and execution within service standards.
Act as a project relationship manager and build effective stakeholder relationships.
Analyze data, identify insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
Employ systems for managing information and streamline reporting processes.
Design and produce reports and dashboards; review and enhance strategic programs.
Operate at a group/enterprise level, influencing team collaboration and addressing complex problems creatively.
Communicate complex concepts simply, foster networks, and anticipate trends for proactive change.

Qualifications:
Typically 9+ years of relevant experience with a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.Expertise in risk management, audit, compliance, governance, or project management preferred.Deep knowledge of business and regulatory environment, risk issues, and best practices.Strong communication and relationship management skills.Effective planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.Industry expertise, technical leadership, and innovative thinking.Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to influence and collaborate across teams; capable of managing ambiguity.Data-driven decision-making expertise. Salary: $137,000.00 - $238,000.00
