HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Director and Enterprise Architect . This Director will lead a small team of enterprise architects across digital, administrative systems, care delivery, infrastructure, and data teams, driving enterprise-wide architectural strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion the implementation of technology standards and lifecycle management practices.
Lead modernization efforts to enhance integration and development patterns, enabling IT transformation and accelerating value delivery.
Anticipate and plan technology evolution to align with long-term business strategy.
Serve as a strategic advisor, enabling both near- and long-term business outcomes.
Develop and maintain models of technical and business capabilities, building a robust knowledge base.
This role is highly visible and central to HealthPartners' digital transformation. The Director will collaborate across all areas of IT, translating enterprise strategy into actionable direction for the architecture team. Additionally, the Director will lead an advisory committee composed of leaders from across IT.
The Director reports to the Vice President of Digital Consumer & Sales Systems and is one of nine direct reports, which include fellow Directors, Enterprise Architects, a Project Coordinator, and a Senior Administrative Assistant. This Director leads a team of seven professionals, comprising four full-time employees and three contractors.
We're looking for someone with deep expertise in healthcare, health plan operations, and healthcare management services. A strong command of both application and infrastructure architecture is essential. This role is pivotal in bridging business goals with technical execution-ensuring our architecture supports and accelerates HealthPartners' mission.
Required Qualifications:
Ten (10) years leading change and evolving technologies
Five (5) years of staff management and leadership
Fifteen (15) years of technical leadership with increasing responsibility
Experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions.
Strong digital business literacy and understanding of digital and emerging technologies
Continuous learner- actively engaged in courses, webinars, and self-directed learning, and able to articulate key takeaways from these experiences

This position follows a hybrid work model, with approximately 60% of time spent onsite and 40% remote. Onsite responsibilities are primarily based at 8170 33rd Avenue South, Bloomington, MN.
