The Analytics Director is responsible for leading teams of analytic professionals across Analytics and Business Intelligence functions with enterprise business domain scope. This leader is responsible for creating Analytics or Business Intelligence firmwide capability strategy and implementing the strategic direction of the function. As a people leader, this leader is responsible for managing a highly engaged workforce and developing team members on their career progression through coaching and feedback. They work in collaboration with senior leader business stakeholders, including Operating Committee, Leadership Coalition, Business Segment and Value Team Leaders, ensuring the delivery of quality work products (e.g. complex analytics resulting in insights to inform enterprise-wide decisions, tools to understand and manage enterprise-wide business performance).
What you'll do: Define, implement, and mature enterprise level Analytic and BI strategies and programs to meet the analytic needs of the firm. Execute the firm's Knowledge-Powered strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and leading the execution of business opportunities and complex problems that can be solved through analytics. Support the execution of analytics and Business Intelligence needs across the firm including but not limited to: Extracting insights from large structured and unstructured databases Development of descriptive and diagnostics analytics to inform strategic decisions Effectiveness/ROI analysis for major firm initiatives Geospatial analysis Development of analytic tooling to support enterprise performance and decision management Development of field-facing analytic tooling to support the experience, knowledge, performance, goal setting, practice management of branch teams
Partner with Operating Committee and Value Team/Stream, and other senior leaders across the firm to define enterprise analytic needs, prioritize those efforts, and embed analytics into business decisions and system in alignment with the Firm Strategy business plan and objectives. Establish the vision and objectives of the function, identifying key roles and responsibilities and the completion of major department initiatives. Consistent and continuous evaluation of the department's activities and controls, in partnership with analytic governance to ensure function is achieving the vision and goals with quality and timeliness. Lead talent strategy for area of responsibility in alignment with enterprise analytic talent strategy to enable business value and create a place of belonging for all. Communicate the results and methods of Analytic work product to key business leaders in a way that fosters adoption and integration of insights, builds confidence in the area, and creates increased demand for future analytic work. Leverage a complete understanding of internal systems and influence product teams and technology leaders to improve the deployment of modern technology solutions to create a best-in-class analytics organization. Partner with product leadership on roadmaps that future proof the enablement of analytic teams across the enterprise for future needs of the organization. Influence business areas on how to effectively leverage analytics to inform, share, evaluate, monitor, and enhance their objectives. Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to leaders and associates with timely feedback to ensure the growth of talent and achievement of objectives in their area of responsibility. Work collaboratively with other functions in the firm's greater analytic community and insights teams to ensure the broadest perspective is applied to analytic solutions and insights.

Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Degree Preferred 15+ years of minimum experience In-depth knowledge of Analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities, wealth management industry acumen, and Edward Jones organization knowledge to develop analytic solutions in line with Business Segment and Firm Priority priorities to inform strategic decisions, measure business performance, and integrate analytic solutions into firm processes, workflows and solutions. In-depth knowledge of Analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities to develop and mature an enterprise Analytic and Business Intelligence Strategy to be leveraged by their functional team as well as spoke analytic teams throughout the firm. The following leadership and influence skills are required to lead a large sub-function with enterprise scope and influence: Audience Analysis, Business Acumen, Business Analysis, Business Partnering, Business Process Improvement, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Issue Resolution, Leadership Development, Requirements Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, Training Needs Analysis, Storytelling, Strategy Planning, Systems Thinking, and Time Management. Working knowledge of the following analytical skillsets is required to consult, lead, and deliver Enterprise Analytic and BI solutions: segmentation techniques, cash flow analysis, gap analysis, predictive analysis, simulating and back-testing, forecasting, and performance monitoring. Working knowledge of the following technical skillsets are required: consulting, lead, and deliver Enterprise Analytic and BI solutions: cloud computing, cloud data platforms, data accessibility, data acquisition, data cleansing, data collection, data commercialization, data innovation, data integration, data integrity, data storage management, data verification, debugging, product management, product development, product road mapping, and product optimization.
