Job Description Summary

Support and promote the sale of Transamerica products through retirement, estate, and wealth‑planning strategies. Serve as a consultant and liaison to the sales force, acting as a business partner to agents and brokers by answering questions and communicating opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategy and goals outlined by the Vice President of Advanced Markets.
  • Communicate retirement, estate, tax, and general financial planning concepts to wholesalers, agents, and buyers via phone, webinar, and in‑person presentations.
  • Respond to and follow up on calls and emails from the field.
  • Identify opportunities for department improvement and ensure information accuracy.
  • Oversee and complete assigned duties within the department.
  • Lead initiatives and projects that support sales opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver seminars nationwide and present at industry conferences.
  • Serve as a liaison to the sales force, producers, operations, marketing, and external advisors.
  • Communicate industry, department, and sales updates to internal and external units.
  • Act as the primary Advanced Markets point of contact for the assigned unit and maintain relationships.
  • Lead development of sales, marketing, and training materials on Transamerica products and advanced strategies.
  • Coordinate training for associates and Advanced Markets staff on financial planning and product application.
  • Manage projects and coordinate with Advanced Market staff to complete deliverables.
  • Model Advanced Markets conduct, commitment, and performance while supporting the Vice President in departmental management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.
  • Preferable credentials: JD, CFP, CLU, ChFC, CPA.
  • Seven years of experience in retirement, estate, and wealth‑transfer planning.
  • In‑depth knowledge of variable annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public‑speaking ability and presentation experience.
  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous work style in a collegial environment.
  • Customer‑service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate tax degree such as LLM, MBT, or MST.
  • FINRA Series 63 license.
  • FINRA Series 7 completed within 6 months.

Working Conditions

  • Remote environment.
  • Frequent travel (up to 40%).

Salary

Generally ranges between $126,000 and $167,000 annually. The position is also eligible for a 20% annual bonus and sales/performance incentives.
