Summary:
Job Summary:Responsible for directing the administration, analysis, and operations of the 340B Drug program and all its components including compliance monitoring, routine audits, maintaining policies and procedures and 340B contract review/negotiations. Responsibilities:
May represent MHS on committees, in programs (i.e., advocacy groups), and on community boards.Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Responsible for oversight and management of team to ensure goals are efficiently met while MHS complies with all aspects of the 340B program, implements all applicable aspects of the Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance, and operates within the bounds of Memorial Healthcare System’s Pharmacy policy and procedures for 340B.Responsible for 340B software (TPA) vendor contract negotiations and reviews. Works directly with MHS Third Party Reimbursement team to ensure required data is filed correctly. Ensures charge capture practices support 340B data capture.Directs integration of the charge management process across Epic applications and user departments, including oversight of policies, procedures, and procedures to ensure revenue integrity.Maintains knowledge of policy changes that impact the 340B program or MHS charge capture. This includes, but is not limited to, HRSA/OPA rules and Medicaid Changes, Medicare and third-party payor rules, and Epic clinical department charge support. Responsible for ensuring that documentation and related policies and procedures are updated in a timely manner.Liaises with necessary affiliated departments (i.e., compliance, legal, finance, IS, pharmacy) to ensure integrity of charge capture and 340B processes. Provides ongoing education, training, and communications to all staff regarding the 340B Program and revenue capture.Provides 340B Program leadership and oversight across MHS. Acts as a subject matter expert and partners with pharmacy leaders and other executives to identify enhancements and operational opportunities. This includes directing 340B Program implementation, maintenance, and viability across all covered entities at MHS, contract pharmacies, Memorial Primary Care (MPC), and Memorial Cancer Institute (MCI). Supports MHS pharmacy directors in the development, implementation, support, and evaluation of pharmacy business services.Provides 340B Program leadership and oversight across MHS. Acts as a subject matter expert and partners with pharmacy leaders and other executives to identify enhancements and operational opportunities. This includes directing 340B Program implementation, maintenance, and viability across all covered entities at MHS, contract pharmacies, Memorial Primary Care, and Memorial Cancer Institute. Supports MHS pharmacy directors in the development, implementation, support, and evaluation of pharmacy business services.Directs implementation of business plans in coordination with MHS pharmacy leadership to help use 340B savings to expand and improve care provided to underserved and vulnerable populations. Oversees the preparation and presentation of 340B cost savings reports detailing purchasing, and inventory management practices. Directs the performance annual inventory and or quarterly audits for all eligible locations to verify adherence to 340B program guidelines. Competencies:
