Era Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to join our team at our Ida Culver House Broadview, a beautiful retirement community in North Seattle, WA. Primary Responsibilities:
This position supervises more than 50 dining room staff and oversees all aspects of daily operations of the Dining Room to ensure the highest quality of service to residents and their guests. The Dining Services Director develops staff schedules, insuring adequate staffing for all shifts, with consideration of budget and quality of service for all meals and special events. They are also a member and contributor to our community’s leadership team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of food service management
Exceptional customer service and collaboration skills
Possess basic technical knowledge and dining room administrative knowledge
Ability to hire, train, direct, motivate. and supervise others
Ability to use good interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, family members, visitors and co-workers
Ability to use Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
Education and Experience:
Must have 2-5 years of experience in restaurant or retirement food service
Supervisory skills required
Food handlers permit, CPR and First Aid certification, and Alcohol Serving Certification
