Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical DirectorLocation: Pima Medical Institute - El Paso CampusJob Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $78,030 - $97,535 per yearJob DescriptionPima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical Director to join our El Paso campus. In this role, you will oversee clinical education, ensure program compliance, and provide hands-on instruction to prepare students for successful careers in sonography.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Coordination & EducationSecure and maintain clinical partnerships with local healthcare facilitiesMonitor student progress at clinical sites and provide constructive feedbackConduct site visits to evaluate student performance and program effectivenessDevelop and update clinical objectives, evaluations, and schedulesStudent Success & InstructionMaintain an 80%+ student success rate through mentorship and academic supportTeach sonography techniques in lab and classroom settingsPrepare lesson plans and deliver engaging instructionEvaluate student competency and provide individualized guidanceProgram DevelopmentCollaborate with the Program Director to enhance curriculumRecommend improvements to clinical education plansEnsure compliance with accreditation standards (ARDMS, CAAHEP, etc.)Qualifications & RequirementsEducationAssociate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field (required)Bachelor's degree (preferred)Graduation from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEACertifications & LicensureActive ARDMS certification (RDMS)Specialization in OB/GYN and/or Abdominal Sonography (required)Cardiac (RCS) or Vascular (RVS) certification (preferred)Texas state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a sonographerExperience3+ years of full-time clinical experience as a General, Cardiac, or Vascular Sonographer1+ year of teaching, precepting, or training students (preferred)Experience with accreditation compliance (CAAHEP, JRC-DMS, etc.)Skills & AbilitiesStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to monitor radiation safety protocolsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus for El Paso community engagementPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods during labs/clinicsLift up to 30 lbs (for equipment setup)Travel to local clinical sites 2-3 times per weekBenefits & PerksCompetitive Salary: $78,030 - $97,535/yearRetirement: 401(k) with 10% employer match + ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)Health Coverage: Medical (PPO & HDHP with HSA), dental, visionAdditional Insurance: Short-term/Long-term disability, life insuranceWork-Life Balance:Generous PTO + paid sick leave (PSL)10+ paid holidaysWellness programs & employee discountsWhy Join PMI El Paso?Employee-owned company - Share in our successSmall class sizes - Personalized student attentionModern labs - State-of-the-art ultrasound equipmentStrong industry connections - Partnerships with top El Paso healthcare providersHow to ApplyReady to inspire the next generation of sonographers?
