Santiam Hospital, nestled in the hills of the beautiful and historic city of Stayton, Oregon, is currently seeking a Director of Diagnostic Imaging to lead our department of experienced and skilled Radiologists, techs, and administrative staff.
As the Diagnostic Imaging Director , you will manage daily operations, guide personnel, and optimize departmental performance. You will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and responsive team culture while using the latest imaging technology to deliver precise and timely diagnostic services to our patients.

What you'll do:
Role Functions : Direct and supervise all aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Organize, implement, coordinate and oversee Department activity with that of other departments. Role Responsibilities: Interpret, support, and execute Hospital and Department policy and procedure. Ensure that patient care administered by Department staff is optimal. Ensure proper operation, use, maintenance, and supply of Department equipment and supplies. Review and assess Department needs for new equipment, supplies, services, and maintenance, and communicate such needs to COO. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff. Prepare reports, payroll sheets, statistical surveys, Department staff schedules, analogous documents as is required. Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of Department service. Ensure accurate and timely submission of charges for Department service. Periodically review and assess Department staff salary structures and communicate any recommendations for change in such structures to COO. Assist directly or indirectly with orientation of new staff and submit orientation paperwork to appropriate Hospital staff. Specific Tasks: Prepare performance appraisals for Department staff. Ensure adequate Department service provision through scheduling staff and personally providing service when necessary. Prepare Department budget and a department forecast annually. Maintain educational requirements for all required licensure and certification. Attend Department Director meetings, annual Department Director conferences, and strategic planning conferences. Schedule periodic meetings with Hospital radiologists to discuss Department service, quality or performance improvement issues. Qualifications
What you 'll need: Degree from an accredited school of diagnostic imaging. Current certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, including possession of a current pocket credential card. A minimum of five years' experience leading or managing a Diagnostic Imaging Service or a large complex department. Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial analysis and strategic planning. Comprehensive understanding of professional radiology practice and diagnostic imaging service operations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
