Job Description
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee clinical operations and identify areas of improvement related to workflow, access, utilization (volume), efficiency, and revenue.
Oversee activities related to personnel management, mandatory training, and employee appraisals.
Monitor the environment of care for Ambulatory Care Service and work with appropriate hospital departments to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Monitor customer service performance and continuity of care of Ambulatory Care Services and evaluate continuous improvements in quality of service delivered.
Monitor and find areas of improvement related to patient experience and employee engagement.
Monitor all service-related issues influencing revenue generation and close-visit activity as well as ensure compliance with grants and entitlement programs.
Oversee successful implementation of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), e-Consult, Capacity, and other identified initiatives.
Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Monitor overall staffing patterns and report any inadequate staffing levels to the Associate Executive Director, Ambulatory Care.
Cooperate with regulatory agencies and consultants in sharing information as required.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Engage in administrative consultation and issue resolution with Service Line Administrators, Chiefs of Clinical Services, Social Work, Nutrition, and Nursing Leadership as well as with other hospital-based department heads.
Participate in hospital-wide committees as assigned.
Identify areas of improvement in all clinics.
Work and collaborate with Finance to identify areas of improvement related to increasing revenue and decreasing spending.
Complete data and prepare productivity reports, PI reports, and other quarterly board reports as necessary.
Manage administrative budget.
Complete annual performance evaluations of personnel and ensure all staff receive appropriate professional development.
Review policies and procedures with ADNs and submit appropriate recommendations for improvements and modifications.
Attend Senior Staff Meetings: monthly administrative meetings, 1:1 meetings, and service line meetings.
Report directly to the Associate Executive Director of Ambulatory Care.
Collaborate with the Ambulatory Care team to assess and implement changes as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of full-time paid experience of program development in a hospital or health care facility in meeting community health needs, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis and implementation, in an administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or,
A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or related discipline; and,
Eight years of full-time paid experience at the level indicated above; and,
Demonstrated skills in written and medical communications; or,
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
