The Culinary Director is responsible for coordinating dining services, designing, and implementing quality dining programs that enhance the dining experience for the guest and provide quality nutrition in accordance with governing regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures, standardized recipes, special diet orders, and sanitary regulations.

Follow established infection control precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks. Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.

Qualifications

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification from the Association of Food and Nutrition Professionals preferred; will also accept Food Protection Manager Certification with two years SNF Dietary Management experience.

Current ServSafe Certification and Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a skilled nursing facility required.

Knowledge of Culinary Services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing Culinary Department functioning in a skilled nursing facility.
