Weber Shandwick is seeking a dynamic Creative Director with expertise in guiding big brands and corporations through the modern media landscape (paid, earned, and owned). The ideal candidate is a highly conceptual strategic thinker, capable of leading award-winning campaigns across corporate and consumer sectors. Responsibilities include leading creative development, driving engagement across digital and social media, and balancing corporate communication with creative innovation. The role requires excellent presentation and client-facing skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a collaborative spirit to mentor junior talent. The Creative Director will develop campaigns for both corporate and consumer work and contribute to new business efforts.
Primary Responsibilities Ideate and execute earned and social-first creative activations
Generate corporate narratives for internal and external audiences
Work directly with C-suite executives to identify stories and opportunities
Liaise with client teams to ensure alignment with objectives
Collaborate across integrated teams and platforms
Foster a culture of creative innovation, excellence, and accountability
Mentor staff and provide constructive feedback
Stay current with industry trends and share best practices
Basic Requirements 10+ years of experience as a Creative Director in a creative agency
Proven experience in big ideas, brand activations, scripts, social content, and creative writing
Experience in digital media, including social, content, video, media, and influencer marketing
Track record in delivering creative campaigns for PR strategies (earned, owned, paid)
Strong collaboration skills from concept to completion

Salary range for Illinois: $143,000 - $190,000, depending on experience, market factors, and other considerations.
