This involves strategic planning, vendor management, and logistics coordination, requiring strong leadership and analytical skills. Immediate opening for a Corporate Director Supply Chain in Orange County, CA or Chicago, IL who possesses: Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree (like an MBA) is often preferred; 10+ years of experience Extensive experience in supply chain management, including purchasing, logistics, and inventory management Strong leadership and communication skills Negotiation and interpersonal skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinking and innovation skills Experience with ERP/MRP systems required Knowledge of market trends; ability to use market data for organizational strategy; responsiveness to market challenges Proven ability to manage product supply processes and mitigate supply chain risks Experience in setting team expectations and clarifying roles in dynamic environments Successful collaboration with cross-functional global teams Cross-cultural resourcefulness, agility, and ability to work in complex matrix environments Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts; green or black belt certification preferred Key Responsibilities include: End-to-End Modeling: Develop long-term supply chain strategies considering all aspects from suppliers to distribution.
Flow Path Optimization: Analyze product flow options to determine the most efficient path to meet objectives.
Product/Customer Profitability Analysis: Evaluate contributions to profitability at product and customer levels.
Financial Modeling and Reporting: Manage financial aspects of the supply chain, including capacity planning, costing, and sustainability accounting.
Beyond Standard Costing: Implement advanced costing methods suitable for complex supply chains.
Supplier Contracts Optimization: Manage contracts, discounts, and resource utilization strategies.
Strategic Planning: Align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
Vendor Management: Negotiate and evaluate vendor performance.
Procurement & Logistics: Oversee purchasing, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Inventory Management: Balance cost and availability through inventory optimization.
Demand & Supply Planning: Enhance forecasting accuracy and collaboration.
Risk Management: Mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
Performance Measurement: Track KPIs and drive process improvements.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team.
