Position Title: Coordinator/Assistant Director of Student Engagement Job Description: This position reports directly to the Director of Student Engagement within the Student Life Division. It is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating student activities and programs sponsored by the Palmieri Activities Center (PAC). The role includes managing the PAC Pub and student staff, overseeing alcohol service, and maintaining PAC spaces and equipment. The position requires frequent late-night and weekend work. It also involves conveying the University's Catholic values and fostering student involvement through diverse programs and events at the PAC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and oversee student activities and lounge operations at the PAC, including the PAC Pub and student workers. Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and maintain proper records. Prepare for Liquor Board inspections and keep relevant records accessible. Maintain reports and surveys to evaluate departmental performance and identify improvements. Assist in establishing policies for the PAC and PAC Pub. Coordinate with the University Events Director and Director of Student Activities on programs and events. Manage scheduling and use of the PAC facilities. Enforce rules and regulations in line with policies and codes of conduct. Plan and evaluate extracurricular activities to promote a welcoming campus environment. PAC Pub: Collaborate with student organizations like AMP to execute programming. Oversee repairs, maintenance, and participate in facility redesign. Coordinate with Dining Services and Campus Environment teams. Assist in developing PAC A/V technology services. Serve on university committees as assigned. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise 16 student workers. Participate actively in university events and community activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills & Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relationships. Professional interaction with diverse groups in a customer service environment. Strong computer, communication, and multitasking skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Experience with live sound, lighting, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, and late-night operations is desirable. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience, or equivalent. Experience in event management and understanding of government policies. Additional for Assistant Director: Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience. Experience in higher education student activities and supervising staff. Salary & Benefits: Assistant Director: $43,888/year; Coordinator: $38,400/year (depending on experience and qualifications).
