Overview

BluSky Restoration Contractors is seeking a Construction Project Director. This is a highly compensated position with UNCAPPED commission potential. The role involves estimating, closing the sale of restoration projects, and managing projects for commercial, multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and residential properties damaged by disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Sales: meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals; negotiate and execute contracts; sell all BluSky services; convert opportunities into sales; track and measure sales in the CRM
  • Revenue: oversee and expedite revenue production to meet monthly goals; ensure timely deposits, progress, and final billings; provide oversight to the Project Manager in revenue production; collaborate on project schedules
  • Profit Margins: develop and own project budgets; ensure budget accuracy and adjust as needed; improve profitability through vendor and resource management; monitor costs to maintain margin integrity
  • AR & Collections: conduct early AR discussions with customers; manage invoicing terms and processes; perform weekly collection calls; monitor AR aging and lien rights; maintain DSO at or below 75 days
  • Manage Near Term Opportunities: work with clients and claims teams to close leads; maintain robust client communication; document communications in the BluSky CRM
  • Business Development Activity: schedule two BD meetings per week; participate in events to market BluSky; engage clients to drive sales; collaborate with BD leadership on opportunities
  • Estimating Proficiency: accurately sketch affected areas using Matterport; use Time & Materials (T&M) and Xactimate; estimate projects to meet target margins
  • Customer Satisfaction: maintain weekly stakeholder communications; set clear expectations; hold teams accountable for updates; check in with customers throughout projects
  • Working and Coordinating with Internal Teams: coordinate Mitigation and Reconstruction activities; ensure timely change orders and updates; collaborate with Project Managers and other internal teams

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent marketing/business development and sales experience in restoration or construction with a proven sales growth track record
  • Extensive construction estimating and/or large loss and catastrophe experience
  • Ability to attend business development networking functions 2-3 evenings per week
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software preferred
  • Experience with LinkedIn and other social platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication; strong knowledge of project management, financial processes, and administration; high level of business ethics and autonomy
  • OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to the role is preferred

Travel

  • Minimal out of state travel required; some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training, meetings, or jobs

Compensation

Base salary range: $75,000 - $110,000; Commission OTE: $70,000 - $200,000; Vehicle Allowance
