Construction Clerk, BRS

The Construction Clerk performs clerical tasks associated with construction activities to support construction team with projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed. Coordinate the scheduling and locations for all Construction Department meetings; publish and distribute agendas and minutes as needed. Entry of Construction Department completed records into the BRS Management System in a timely manner. Ensure Construction Department employee positions and assignments are up to date and accurate in the BRS Management System; ensure organizational chart is accurate. Entry of all training documents are up to date and accurate in the BRS Management System for all Construction Department/Power Distribution/Cranes/Water Systems employees. Coordinate and resolve issues with teammates pay, uniforms, or other items as needed. Communicate with vendors and suppliers on purchase orders and deliveries of materials as necessary. Communicate with vendors and suppliers on issues with payments of goods. Ensure Construction Department vendors and suppliers are up to date on BRSPDS SharePoint requirements for schedules, reports, RFI's, submittals, and NDAs for all active construction projects. Entry of purchase requests into Guide TI for the construction team as needed. Perform other duties as directed by the Construction Manager and construction coordinators as required. Ensure Construction Department vendors and suppliers are up to date with NDAs for all future strategic construction projects. Verification of all OEMs site services personnel's timesheets and invoicing. Communicate with vendors and suppliers on personnel request for OEMs site services. Communicate with vendors and suppliers on warranty topics. Assist the construction department with the tracking and invoicing on construction projects back charges. Tracking daily field meetings and construction projects milestone targets. Qualifications: Demonstrated safety focus. Quality and detail oriented. Adaptability to accept changes in job duties. Reliable team player with good communication skills. Highly motivated, self-directed. Basic computer skills; MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude, and providing exemplary customer service. Good understanding of office equipment (printers, plotters, and label makers). Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive documents. Strong organizational skills are desired. HS diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certificate in Steel or Industrial Technology or closely related field is a plus. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone. This position works in all areas inside and outside which could be in hot or cold environments and varying weather conditions. Must have ability to climb, lift and carry tools and parts in an industrial environment. Typical hours are dayshift, but the Construction Clerk must have the willingness to work unscheduled days and weekends as needed for emergencies.
Supervisory Responsibility: This positions does not supervise others.
