Annandale Village is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit community in Suwanee, GA, where we proudly serve adults with developmental disability and acquired brain injuries. We are a true community where our residents, known as Villagers, are supported in living with dignity, purpose, and independence.
We’re the only nonprofit in the southeast offering a full continuum of care for the people we serve. Our 55-acre campus includes:
- Two assisted living buildings serving 33 Villagers
- Eight Personal Care Homes (independent, semi-independent, and cottages) serving up to 100 Villagers
- A 32-bed skilled nursing facility—the only one in Georgia dedicated solely to adults with developmental disabilities
- A Medicaid waiver day program with approximately 33 participants
- A community-based independent living program, All In, currently serving 26 individuals

Quality Assurance Specialist
Position Purpose
Provide direction and oversight of the operating organization’s compliance program.
Position Purpose
The Compliance Director provides organization-wide leadership, guidance, and support for compliance with all applicable regulations, licensure standards, and contractual obligations. While ultimate responsibility for facility licensure remains with the licensed Administrators, this position drives the systems, training, audits, and quality assurance processes that ensure those Administrators and their teams remain compliant.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory oversight in health and human services, preferably within Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or related residential care programs.
- Working knowledge of Georgia DBHDD rules, DCH licensure requirements (Personal Care Homes, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing), and applicable federal regulations.
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
- Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check (including fingerprinting).
- Must pass a drug screening and tuberculosis screening.
- Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance Leadership & Support
- Partner with licensed Administrators (PCH, ALC, Skilled Nursing, I/DD Programs) to develop and maintain systems ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Provide regulatory guidance and timely updates to Administrators and senior leadership when laws, rules, or contracts change; assist in aligning operations accordingly.
- Develop compliance tools, checklists, and audit schedules to support Administrators’ readiness for inspections and surveys.
Policy & Procedure Management
- Own and drive Annandale’s policy management system (SAI360), ensuring all organizational policies are maintained, current, and accessible.
- Lead the creation, revision, and dissemination of organizational policies and procedures to meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Ensure policies are accessible, training is provided, and compliance with policies is monitored and documented.
Audit, Survey & Corrective Action Coordination
- Plan and conduct internal audits/mock surveys to assess compliance readiness; provide feedback and recommendations to Administrators.
- Coordinate development, implementation, and tracking of corrective action plans in response to internal or external findings.
- Report on compliance metrics and trends to Administrators, the Executive Team, and governing body (as needed) to identify emerging risks and needed improvements.
Incident & Risk Management Support
- Oversee Annandale’s Incident Management System; support Administrators with timely and accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Support Annandale’s grievance process from an investigation standpoint to ensure grievances are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Training & Credentialing Systems
- Oversee tracking systems for staff training, certification, and licensing to support Administrators in meeting mandatory requirements.
- Partner with Administrators and key stakeholders to provide or coordinate compliance-related training.
HIPAA & Information Management
- Serve as Annandale’s HIPAA Compliance Officer.
- Oversee Annandale’s record retention program, including secure storage and destruction of records.
Collaboration & Communication
- Provide regular compliance reports to the Executive Team and Program Administrators.
- Assist Administrators with preparation and participation in state licensing surveys and other external reviews.
- Attend or participate in continuing education related to compliance, laws, and regulations and present pertinent information to Annandale team members.

- Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends/holidays as necessary.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment; ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds (or up to 50 pounds with assistance).
- Employee may be required to transport (drive) and assist Villagers in and out of vehicles.
- Employee is required to perform CPR/First Aid.
