We are seeking a Community Outreach and Development Director who will play a key role in advancing this mission by leading fundraising, grant development, and community engagement efforts.
About the Role
The Community Outreach and Development Director will build and strengthen relationships with donors, schools, churches, and community organizations while cultivating resources that help expand access to care. This individual will oversee fundraising campaigns, secure grant funding, and coordinate events that both support our mission and bring the community together. The Director will serve as a key representative of Primary Healthcare Centers, embodying our values of service, compassion, and faith in all outreach opportunities.
This role may include remote work flexibility and is subject to applicable vaccine requirements, including those set forth by CMS.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Development
Create and implement strategies to meet revenue goals.
Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, and corporate sponsors.
Lead donor recognition and stewardship to ensure long-term engagement.
Grant Writing & Management
Identify and pursue public and private grant opportunities.
Write and submit persuasive grant proposals and reports.
Manage compliance and reporting requirements.
Community Outreach & Partnerships
Represent PHC at community events, coalitions, and outreach initiatives.
Build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, churches, and civic organizations.
Deliver health education programs that promote wellness and foster collaboration.
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan and manage fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community activities.
Oversee logistics, promotion, volunteer coordination, and evaluation.
Communications & Marketing Support
Contribute to newsletters, promotional materials, and social media.
Share donor impact and community success stories that inspire support.
Reporting & Evaluation
Provide leadership and board updates on fundraising, grant outcomes, and outreach.
Assess strategies and recommend improvements.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with leadership, finance, and program teams to align efforts.
Supervise and support development staff, interns, or volunteers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three to five years of directly related experience preferred.
Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Passion for advancing a mission rooted in faith and community service.
