Steel Construction

A Structural Steel Erector located in the Houston is seeking a Safety Director experienced with heavy steel and precast erection projects. They install structural steel and tiltwall precast for the commercial construction and are proud of their injury-free culture. Safety experience neeeded include CHST and ASP or CSP accreditations.

Qualifications For Safety Director

5+ years of experience in the structural steel industry Project Experience on Heavy Steel Construction +5,000 Tons Knowledge of current AISC structural codes and standards Experience with OCIP programs Construction Health and Safety Technician Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional

Responsibilities For Safety Director

Oversee and implement safety programs and policies on construction sites Train and educate employees on safety procedures and protocols Working with insurance companies Assisting in legal matters in regards to safety Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and assist with inspections and compliance requirements

Safety Director Job Functions

Communicate and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety measures are properly implemented and maintained Maintain records and documentation of safety programs, training, inspections, and incidents Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards Investigate and report workplace accidents or incidents, and develop plans to prevent future occurrences
