JOB SHARING STRUCTURE FOR NURSING TEAM
Vista Springs Timber Ridge Village is looking for Co-Director of Health & Wellness for our Full of Life resort style Assisted Living Community. The Co-Director of Health & Wellness will have the opportunity to Co-Director the Health & Wellness team alongside another LPN/RN giving you the ability to share a leadership role, co-manage responsibilities, have a balanced workload, and provide coverage without burnout.
Example of weekly schedule with Flexible Schedule Option:
Each Co-Director of Health & Wellness would work 3-4 days/week (e.g., Sunday - Wednesday and Wednesday - Saturday overlapping or Monday - Wednesday and Thursday through Saturday). With shared responsibilities with communication logs, handoffs, aligned decision-making, and on-call.

Education:
Graduate of accredited RN/LPN school of nursing.
Licenses/Certification:
Valid RN/LPN license in the state employed.
Valid CPR certification.
Experience:
Three – five years’ experience in nursing preferred.
Health care services to residents with dementia, preferred
Essential Functions:
Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision and values of Vista Springs
Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
Assesses and documents the Community Member’s condition and nursing needs.
Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the Community Member’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications.
Supervises, directs and evaluates Personal Wellness Partners and Medication Treatment Professionals.
Administers medications, performs treatments for assigned Community Members, and documents that treatment as required by Vista Springs, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding Community Members.
Coordinates nursing care of Community Members when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
Supervises nursing unit, which includes overseeing scheduling and directing the nursing staff.
Assures that inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit and communicates need for housekeeping, maintenance or dietary assistance.
Promotes interpersonal relationships and develops staff morale.
Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in Community Members.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of Vista Springs, it’s policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce.
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with Community Members and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
