Clinical Operations Director-Central Florida Region
Leading operator of primary care health centers seeks a hands-on autonomous director to direct and administer the day-to-day clinical operations for health centers in Osceola, Ocoee, Apopka, Oviedo, Deland and Flagler. (Has two Health Center Managers reporting directly)Candidate must have a clinical background as a RN and assume a role as a mentor and leader for all direct reports. Guide and coach an experienced and collegial team to achieve results together. Assume the role of lead client liaison and maintain an effective client relationship that delivers with a continuity of care and effective client solutions.
Summary
The Clinical Operations Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple health centers within an assigned region. This role ensures exceptional patient care, optimal staffing, regulatory compliance, and strong client partnerships. The Clinical Operations Director drives operational excellence, cultivates high-performing teams, and serves as a trusted liaison between clients, center staff and providers, and the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Active, unencumbered RN license with the Florida State Board of Nursing (required).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association-approved).
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare management experience, with demonstrated success in multi-site operations (preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 100% between assigned health centers and community locations to maintain strong relationships with all staff, providers, and client groups. Osceola, Ocoee, Apopka, Oviedo, Deland and Flagler.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily clinical operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, quality, and a positive patient experience.
- Optimize staffing to meet patient volume, acuity, and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and schedules in alignment with company goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and vendors.
- Conduct regular on-site meetings with clients and medical staff to review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track progress, and address needs or concerns.
- Coordinate and deliver client services such as annual physicals, wellness events, and flu shot clinics, etc.
Team Development
- Partner with Human Resources to lead the talent lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, engagement, training, retention, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and professional environment focused on patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
- Support succession planning by identifying and developing high-potential team members.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Enforce adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Elements of Performance (EPs).
- Lead efforts to identify and address compliance gaps proactively.
Strategic Initiatives
- Participate in the development and execution of regional strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and implement innovative solutions to improve service delivery and outcomes.
