The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Clinical Director to support with departmental growth. This key role will be responsible for fostering team development and growth, developing and cultivating external partnerships to advance departmental goals. The Clinical Director will provide consultation for agency programs where mental/behavioral health services are provided. As a representative of clinical services, the Clinical Director will serve as the face of both the Department and the organization, playing a vital role in promoting our mission and values.
Under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health Services, the Clinical Director will provide leadership and oversight of departmental policies, procedures, and the delivery of therapeutic services, including outpatient care, intensive in-home services, and future clinical program development.
Key responsibilities include: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to both licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality therapeutic services aligned with legal, ethical, and licensing standards. Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures to promote clinical excellence, staff development, and achievement of program goals. Oversee clinician credentialing with commercial and managed care organizations, and supervise billing processes to ensure efficiency and compliance. Conduct an average of three comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments per month. Establish and maintain trauma informed programmatic practices/culture providing a safe and secure environment. Support efforts in staff recruitment, onboarding tasks, supervision, and retention, facilitate team meetings and provide clinical consultation. Offer crisis coverage and consultation for urgent clinical matters, supporting timely and effective response. Monitor and ensure departmental compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and documentation requirements, including HIPAA, insurance, and funding guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance access to services, maintain strong community relationships, and represent the Raritan Bay Area YMCA and the department publicly. Support program growth through data-driven quality assurance, budgeting input, and ongoing use of electronic health records and outcome tracking systems. Requirements: Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work and/or Counseling. Active unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in the State of New Jersey. Biopsychosocial Certification or willing to obtain in the first 3 months of employment. Language Skills - Spanish and English bilingual preferred. Excellent written and verbal abilities in both languages. Utilization of Electronic Health Record System and Office Suite. Strong understanding and ability to adhere to various New Jersey licensing board regulations and ethics guidelines. Passion for collaborative work and facilitating the learning and growth of others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills individually and in a group setting. Prior supervisory and team management experience for individuals serving underrepresented and diverse communities. Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity within the community.
