About the Role
This position serves as the clinical leader for an outpatient orthopedic practice, working closely with physicians and surgeons to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The Clinical Director oversees a team of advanced practice providers, ensuring accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and timely, thorough documentation.
The role focuses on coordinating workflows, maintaining strong communication between clinical staff and physicians, and upholding operational efficiency. The Clinical Director ensures adherence to clinical protocols and supports optimal patient flow, allowing physicians to concentrate on direct patient management while the midlevel team executes care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of advanced practice providers in collaboration with physicians and surgeons.
- Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and timely documentation.
- Monitor and maintain adherence to established clinical protocols and quality standards.
- Support communication between physicians and the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Mentor and develop team members to uphold high standards of care.
- Utilize technology to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall patient experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed and certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Georgia or relevant state.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, urgent care, sports medicine, or a related specialty.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal), such as team lead, site supervisor, or mentor.
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic capabilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR); experience with emerging healthcare technologies preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and maintain operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with orthopedic practice settings.
- Experience implementing or managing clinical workflows and quality improvement initiatives.
