*GENERAL POSITION EXPECTATION:* Administer and direct all music aspects of the first service traditional worship. This position includes recruitment, training, and leading a varied ministry of music for the congregation and wider community in harmony with the church's mission statement.

*CHARACTERISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS:*
● Spiritually mature relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to a Christian lifestyle ● Be or become a member of this denomination and our church ● Have a passion for worship and be committed to a blended/convergence worship style (traditional /classical and contemporary) ● Possess a vision for worship and the ability to express that vision ● Training and experience in worship planning with solid music skills including the ability to direct and produce special projects ● Organization, administrative, and leadership skills ● Be knowledgeable in the use of worship arts and how they may be applied to our vision ● Ability to shepherd volunteer musicians in the Christian life ● Dependable, responsible, self-motivated, creative, sense of humor, and positive attitude ● Strong team player with other staff members and CFCs congregation ● Experience in a church related setting with exposure to various worship forms and styles: classic and modern choral anthem arrangements; "praise and worship," to include contemporary arrangements of traditional hymns; Christian classics (hymns).
*RESPONSIBILITIES:* ● Participate in the life and ministry of CFC ● Personally direct choir ● Communicate with pastors, staff, musical teams ● Direct/participate in the creative planning of Sunday and special services with the pastor(s), other staff, and/or volunteers ● Recruit, equip, develop, motivate, supervise, and shepherd the choir, ensemble groups, instrumental groups, orchestra, and others as possibilities/needs may arise ● Work with other ministry directors to create a worship culture in which children/youth may participate ● Oversee music resource maintenance o Planning Center o Hymncharts o JW Pepper o CCLI o PraiseCharts ● Execute and direct special events and musical programs o Annual Christmas Concert o Good Friday/Easter Services ● Draft and manage the budget for all of First Service Worship ● Other responsibilities as agreed upon under the direction of the Head Pastor

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
