About the Job: The night shift CNA is a trained, dependable, and compassionate individual that assists in efficiently providing residents care to help maintain individual personal needs, comfort, and skilled care under the supervision of the nursing staff. Furthermore, this position will be primarily based in the nursing home, however, you will be expected to cross train and float to the Hospital when the need arises. The shift is 6pm to 6:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays. The starting wage for this position is $18 per with a $3 shift differential for nights and a $4 shift differential for nights. Responsibilities: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids the professional nursing staff. Delivers direct care to residents as directed by the RN or LPN. Always maintains resident comfort and safety. Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Represents the facility with integrity and treats every resident with dignity and respect. Follows nurse instructions to perform procedures. Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. Follows all policies and procedures to maintain a safe nursing home setting. Participates in all training and continuing education.
