Restorative Nursing Assistant

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident's existing abilities, emphasize independence instead of dependence, and minimize the negative effects of disability with an attitude of realistic optimism under the supervision of a restorative nurse.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as meal delivery and bedpan application

Assisting patients and ensuring their hygiene

Recording and monitoring of patient vital signs

Providing patients with general adjunct care

Responding to patient calls and determining the best course of action to take to assist them

Assisting patients or residents with activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, walking, or standing

Transferring, turning, or repositioning hospitalized patients

Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to develop treatment plans for patients and monitor their condition

Maintaining a record of liquid and food intake, as well as urine and feces output, and communicating any abnormalities or changes to medical personnel.

Examining patients to determine if they have any medical problems

Assisting patients with complaints or physical symptoms by listening to and observing
