About the Role

We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a growing ORTHO specialty practice with multiple locations in Ocala, FL and Lady Lake, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for CMA's looking to build specialty experience in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

What You'll Do

Room patients and prepare them for ORTHO exams and procedures

Take and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical data in Epic EMR

Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments

Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)

Perform specimen collection, EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and lab handling

Educate patients on aftercare instructions

Assist with scheduling and support clinic workflow

Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Vital signs [Required]

Body substance isolation [Required]

Specimen collection [Required]

Phone skills and etiquette [Preferred]

Organizational skills [Preferred]

Education:

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

3-5 years of related work experience [Preferred]

1 year Ortho Experience [Preferred, not required]

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required] OR
