In the dynamic role of Director of Category Management at Monster Energy, you'll be at the forefront of energizing category growth. By harnessing powerful data-driven insights and staying ahead of shopper trends, you'll craft cutting-edge retail strategies that set the pace in the industry. Collaborate with our vibrant internal sales and marketing teams to spearhead category leadership initiatives, forging stronger alliances with key retailers. The impact you’ll make:
Develop and implement a comprehensive category management strategy to drive category and brand growth within
your area of responsibility
Serve as the category thought leader, influencing internal teams and external retail partners with data driven
recommendations
Conduct deep-dive analysis on consumer, shopper, and market trends as well as syndicated data to uncover growth
opportunities and deliver compelling category stories that influence action.
Lead as a strategic partner to retailers, delivering actionable category insights, shelving recommendations and pricing
strategies to optimize performance
Work cross functionally with Merchandising, Sales and Shopper Marketing to align on category growth initiatives, and
provide guidance on assortment optimization, pricing strategy and promo planning.
Lead and mentor a team of category managers/analysts, fostering a high-performance and insights driven culture.
Onsite presence to support the sales team and present category information to retailer partners
Who you are:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Marketing, Communications, Economics, or related field of study
Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in Category Management/Sales Analysis
Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in analyzing market data, pricing strategies, negotiating
with suppliers
Computer Skills Desired: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office , Excel and Power BI
Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Experience with Syndicated Data preferred
