GDIT seeks a Senior Capture Director with primary responsibility for leading and winning new business opportunities with the Intelligence Community (IC) and USCYBERCOMMAND (USCC) markets. The successful candidate will report to the VP of Growth for Space and Cyber Intelligence, as part of the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Growth team. You will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and demonstrate a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. This role provides an opportunity to lead as we apply the breadth of resources in our organization to critical technology and mission challenges across the IC. The portfolio scale offers opportunities to take on new challenges and roles as business and mission impact grows.

What you’ll do

  • Lead capture activities in support of winning key opportunities within the Cyber, HPC, Analytics, Research, and Enterprise IT businesses of the Space and Cyber Intelligence Sector.
  • Pursue and win new business contracts with values up to $2B.
  • Collaborate with the Growth Team, operations, and engineering across business areas to capture and win strategic opportunities primarily within the IC and USCC markets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pursuing strategic Cyber, HPC, Analytics, Research, and Enterprise IT opportunities within the Federal (IC, USCC) space.
  • Provide strategic thinking and execution for capture efforts, including determining capture team resource requirements and managing costs throughout the Bid Acquisition Process.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to qualify new business opportunities.
  • Interface between Business Development and internal/external stakeholders (Business Areas, Operations and Engineering Staff, and Corporate functions) to develop technical, management, and pricing strategies.
  • Understand capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses to guide solution development, CONOPS, and path to win.
  • Manage multiple capture efforts simultaneously, depending on opportunity stage in the acquisition process.
  • Provide customer and business knowledge through business intelligence to ensure the team understands customer desires and competitor capabilities.
  • Develop win themes and strategies, including value propositions. Identify and obtain commitment from industry partners to bridge gaps and increase the probability of win (Pwin).
  • Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to achieve a profitable win at an advantageous cost.
  • Co-lead with cost estimating team the pricing strategy to align with the solution and cost advantages for the bid.
  • Co-lead with Proposal Manager the color team reviews to ensure reviews are conducted in a repeatable manner per procedures and processes.
  • Support continual business development process improvement.
  • Capture, document, maintain, and report capture and pursuit metrics.
  • Meet or exceed performance goals while complying with applicable Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes and Regulations.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Candidates must have 10+ years of proven experience capturing and winning new business ($200M+ opportunities) in the IC/USCC market.
  • Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Marketing, Engineering; technical discipline preferred). May consider 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree, or Master’s degree (e.g., MBA; or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
  • 10+ years of relevant business development, capture, proposal, or government sales/marketing experience in the IC market.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team toward achieving business objectives, including running black hats, analyzing competitive landscapes, leading review teams, and developing and implementing creative strategies in winning bids with price-to-win analysis.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to analyze market and customer trends; well-versed in industry practices, trends, and leaders; knowledge of acquisition/procurement policies and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation, organizational time management, and team-building skills; strong sales presence.
  • Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts in support of winning large, technology-based contracts within the Federal Government with emphasis on IC.
  • Knowledge of major industry competitors in Maryland (Ft. Meade area) required.
  • Current, active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Location: Annapolis Junction, MD. Hybrid work eligible, upon approval.

Salary and Benefits Information

The likely salary range for this position is $221,000 - $299,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the final salary is based on experience, location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
