Position Summary The Dishwasher / Busser plays an important support role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment. This position is responsible for washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and assisting the front-of-house team by clearing and resetting tables. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys contributing to a team-focused environment that delivers excellent service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen, and workstations.

Properly store clean dishes, cookware, and utensils in designated areas.

Assist with clearing tables, removing used dishes, and transporting items to the dishwashing area.

Reset tables quickly and neatly to support efficient guest seating.

Take out trash and recycling as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dining areas as needed.

Support kitchen and service staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks.

Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications

No prior experience required; restaurant or dishwashing experience is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic and reliability.

Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.

Willingness to assist both kitchen and dining room staff as needed.

Ability to follow instructions and maintain sanitation standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Ability to bend, reach, and move frequently during shifts.

Ability to work in a warm and wet environment typical of dishwashing areas.
