Business Development Director – Oil & Gas Infrastructure Solutions
Our client, a leading provider of above-ground storage and infrastructure systems, is expanding its presence in the exploration & production (E&P) and midstream oil & gas sectors. Their innovative storage solutions support major operators and energy transition projects across North America.
They are seeking an experienced Business Development Director with a strong hunter mindset to drive new client acquisition, develop untapped accounts, and expand the company’s presence across the oil & gas industry. This is a high-impact, Houston-based role that requires strong relationships in the local market and a track record of closing new business.
Please note: Only candidates currently residing in the Houston area will be considered. This is an in-market, client-facing role that is not eligible for relocation or remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within E&P and midstream oil & gas markets
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to win new accounts and grow market share
Build relationships from the ground up with operators, midstream firms, and EPCs
Lead complex sales pursuits from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical alignment and project feasibility
Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and networking events throughout the Houston area
Qualifications:
7+ years of business development, sales, or strategic account experience in oil & gas
Proven success developing new business in the E&P and midstream sectors
Strong existing network within the Houston energy market
Experience with infrastructure, storage terminals, or industrial services is preferred
Deep understanding of the oil & gas project lifecycle and procurement processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
Must be currently located in Houston, TX
