Overview Business Development Director - Mechanical Services Company - Base Salary to 200k/year - Piscataway, NJ Our client, a highly respected HVAC mechanical servicing company and service firm that has been around for 80+ years, is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join their leadership team. This newly created and high-impact position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth strategy, building out a new division, and influencing critical decisions that will define the organization's future. The Business Development Director will lead client acquisition, maintain pipeline discipline, and foster strong, long-term relationships. Responsibilities Drive large-scale growth initiatives while leading and expanding the sales team. For at least the first 90 days, the role will operate as an individual contributor to gain a deep understanding of the company's culture, clients, and strategic objectives, including the hiring of additional team members. Support cross-functional efforts to secure multi-million-dollar project sales, monitor sales team performance, ensure operational efficiency, and collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and project management teams. Represent the company at executive-level meetings and conferences. This candidate would often be on the road meeting potential clients. Qualifications 10+ years of proven success in Commercial HVAC sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity Demonstrated ability to independently build and/or grow a division from the ground up Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce) Prior experience successfully executing projects from 2 million up to 50 million Compensation The position offers a base salary in the 150k - 200k/year range, plus a bonus structure.
