Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dedicated and professional Bilingual Human Resources Director in Smyrna, GA. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HR principles within the construction industry and will be fluent in both English and Spanish . This role is critical to supporting our diverse workforce, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives, including talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues. Mediate and resolve conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
Compliance: Ensure the company's HR practices comply with all federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly those relevant to the construction industry (e.g., OSHA, E-Verify).
Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the full recruitment cycle for all positions, from sourcing to onboarding. Develop strategies to attract and retain skilled labor in the construction sector.
Bilingual Communication: Effectively communicate with and support both English- and Spanish-speaking employees. Develop and translate HR documents, policies, and communications to ensure clarity and accessibility for all employees.
Compensation & Benefits: Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and equitable.
Training & Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, productivity, and safety.
Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management systems, including reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in the construction or skilled trades industry is required.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly preferred.
Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and verbal. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal and Georgia state labor laws, particularly those impacting the construction industry.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Benefits: Competitive salary of $100,000 - $110,000.
