We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Director to oversee our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 academic year at Franklin Elementary School in North Franklin, CT. In this leadership role, youll be at the forefront of daily operations at the Healthy Kids Program Site, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and successfully.
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt PAY: $17.00 per hour
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE: Ensuring Compliance: Oversee that the program and its team align with all applicable state regulations, Healthy Kids operational standards, and host school requirements.
Making it Engaging: Lead and implement hands-on activities drawn from the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, arts, STEAM, academics, and beyond. Youll also support students with their homework think of yourself as the ultimate after-school champion!
Managing Operations: Handle essential administrative responsibilities like tracking attendance, registration, and staffing needs to ensure smooth daily function.
Staying Connected: Use the Playground App to maintain regular, clear communication with families and caregivers.
Collaborating with the Team: Maintain ongoing, effective communication with your supervisor. Provide daily updates and address concerns quickly to help build a supportive, responsive team culture and deliver top-quality care.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE<BR>To qualify for the Director role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1:
1 year (540 hours) of experience
Bachelors Degree in a related field
12 credit hours in:
Child and Youth Development (3)
Administration (3)
Other SAC-related areas (6)
Option 2:
18 months of experience
Bachelors Degree in an unrelated field
12 credit hours in:
Child and Youth Development (3)
Administration (3)
Other SAC-related areas (6)
Option 3:
2 years of experience
Associate Degree or two years of relevant college coursework
12 credit hours in:
Administration (3)
Other SAC-related areas (6)
Child and Youth Development (3)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Youre medically cleared to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including TB.
You bring warmth, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills to your interactions with children, families, and colleagues. Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality are musts.
Youre physically capable of engaging in active play, lifting up to 50 lbs., and handling the energetic pace of a youth-focused environment.
