Duties This position is based in the Office of the Director (OOD), which provides leadership and guidance for the agency, including the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and the Planning, Analysis, and Statistics Division (PASD). The incumbent will serve as Counsel to the Director, EOIR, offering expert legal advice on the interpretation and application of U.S. Immigration Law, statutes, executive orders, directives, regulations, administrative rulings, and court decisions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing legal counsel on immigration law issues.
Assisting in policy development and legal analysis.
Representing the agency in legal matters as needed.
Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
Must complete a background investigation, credit check, and drug test.
Selective Service Registration is required, as applicable.
A two-year trial period is required.
Must file a Financial Disclosure.
Salary payments must be made via direct deposit.
