The Associate Medical Officer - Market Clinical Director will supervise, manage performance, and train Clinical Directors within their assigned market. This role encompasses accountability for center performance, profitability, growth, and cultivating a positive culture. Alongside leadership duties, the incumbent will engage in direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or fulfill other clinical functions, depending on the needs of the market and guidance from the Regional President. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee clinical outcomes and daily management of Medical Directors across multiple centers. Ensure effective clinical operations and achievement of market earnings goals. Mentor and train Medical Directors to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes. Facilitate professional development of PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors through coaching and leadership planning. Foster a physician culture aligned with ChenMed’s core model and values. Assist in training new practitioners. Participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates for clinical roles. Build relationships with payers, specialists, and community stakeholders. Address workplace concerns promptly to maintain a positive market culture. Review and approve center-level referrals and provide backup for utilization authorizations. Support market quality and performance initiatives in collaboration with the Regional President. Conduct monthly scorecard reviews and analysis of clinical metrics. Deliver care as a PCP (20% of time). Ad hoc responsibilities as delegated by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional clinical skills and knowledge of managed care delivery systems. Experience in quality improvement processes and population risk management. Strong analytical and relationship-building skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with EMR systems. Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% locally, regionally, and nationally. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Education and Experience Criteria: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty required. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; 3 years preferred. Preferred experience as a Medical Director or similar role in Medicare/Medicaid environments. Board eligibility required; Board certification preferred. Active state medical license. Demonstrated clinical leadership experience. Experience in chronic disease management and interdisciplinary team collaboration. Preferred high-performing PCP or Medical Director within the ChenMed model. Salary Range: $231,876 - $331,251 Why Join ChenMed?
