Overview Unilever is recruiting for an experienced Associate HR Director – NA Personal Care to lead for impact, reporting to the SVP US HR & NA Personal Care HR. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a people plan that will supercharge the NA Personal Care growth ambition. This role requires experience in project management, change management, communication planning and execution, organization design, employee relations, conflict resolution, employment law/legal compliance, performance management, coaching & counseling, organizational & leadership development, talent management practices and a strong working knowledge of Unilever reward practices, US benefits and retirements and HR systems and processes. This position will collaborate cross-functionally to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and deliver with excellence. Location: Los Angeles, CA-based or Hoboken, NJ-based with 10-20% travel. Who You Are & What You Will Do Develop and execute people project plans that are aligned to business objectives ensuring on time, in budget, and in full delivery. Provide organizational solutions with measurable outcomes and deliver with excellence.
Act as the primary HR lead for key people initiatives aligning timelines with broader business strategies, setting related OKRs and ensuring impactful execution. This is both a strategic and tactical role that requires deep expertise in organization design and work systems.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support and implement change. Partner with leaders and teams to build capability and drive results.
Assess and define the future state of the employee experience, while defining and driving change management strategies.
Develop and implement communication strategies that support project goals. Create materials such as talking points and FAQs to ensure alignment and engagement.
Play a key role in our continued Supply Chain transformation ensuring a commitment to the business strategy and respect for the local culture.
Champion organizational success by promoting goal setting, clear communication, and empowerment. Help shape a culture of accountability, care, and respect while building capability for Unilever.
Act as a consultant to the business for employee-related issues including legal and HR compliance.
Collaborate across functions, including Finance, Legal, HR Operations, and HR Expertise teams. Work cross-functionally with HR colleagues to drive the agenda and facilitate seamless HR service delivery.
What you will need to succeed BA/BS; MBA or master’s degree is desirable.
8+ years of progressive experience including a minimum of 3 years as an HRBP with experience in driving transformation.
Proven track record in leading complex projects with significant change management and organization design components.
Strong ability to strategically influence senior leaders and key stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment law and business integrity standards.
Highly action-oriented, with the ability to mobilize resources and tools to ensure project success.
PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Pay: The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible. Benefits: Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
