Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) assists the CFO in the strategic and operational oversight of all financial functions within Lincoln Hospital. The Deputy CFO plays a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of fiscal resources in support of the hospital's mission to provide high-quality care to the community.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises finance areas including the budget department, grants, property office, affiliation budget, patient access, patient accounts, service lines, and revenue cycle services
- Supports the CFO in developing and implementing short-term and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Develops internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Implements directives of the Executive Director, reviews and evaluates existing programs, analyzes financial trends and performance to inform strategic decision-making
- Assist the CFO in the design and preparation of timely and accurate financial and statistical reports to evaluate fiscal performance of facility
- Monitors departmental spending and identifies opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Supervises finance department staff and provides leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities
- Fosters a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence
- Assists the CFO in ensuring that pertinent financial information is communicated in a timely and effective manner
- Serves as a key liaison between the finance department and clinical/administrative leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Health Care Administration, Public Health or a related discipline and five (5) years of high-level responsible experience in Hospital, Business, or Public Administration or a Health Care Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations of a major part or all of a, health care setting, including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs; or
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above; and six (6)years of high-level experience in areas as described in "1" above.
