JOB TITLE: Associate Director JOB LOCATION: 2 Embarcadero Center, Floor 8, San Francisco, CA 94111 JOB DESCRIPTION: ·Advise clients on complex accounting policy in all areas of US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (US GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including consolidation (analyzing VIEs and determining Primary Beneficiaries), derivatives, revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, impairment, troubled debt structuring, bad debt and loan loss methodologies, foreign currency accounting, and others. ·Lead projects for clients that focus on operational accounting issues including streamlining the monthly process close, preparing and facilitating the external audit process, and improving the Finance, Planning & Analysis functions. ·Lead project teams in the transformation of finance and/or accounting functions to include accounting process improvements, operational process improvements, financial reporting preparation, and board and management reporting in highly regulated environments such as financial services, banking, or multi-country operations. ·Advise corporate accounting functions on financial reporting including SEC reporting, financial restatements, correction of errors, 10-K and 10-Q. ·Assist clients with technical accounting issues and implement new accounting policy, for example, ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases, ASC 326 credit losses, and other new accounting standards to meet regulatory and reporting requirements. ·Lead projects that support complex transactions through proven due diligence, post-closing balance sheet settlement, carve out financials, and on-going integration services. ·Manage larger and more complex client projects and engagements including work plans, staffing, developing budgets, monitoring progress, and quality control review throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Lead the strategy, goal setting, and maintenance of an integrated project plan. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Law, or related field and 5 years of audit work experience in multiple industries, including the Financial Services Industry. Job requires 4 years of experience in the following: Experience in the preparation of Audited Financial Statement on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP. Job requires 3 years of experience in each of the following: Experience with a ‘Big 4’ accounting firm like performing and managing financial statement audits of publicly traded financial services companies. Public speaking and presentation experience. Experience with accounting guidance and standards as set by FASB, IASB, FRC and SEC. Job requires 2 years of experience in each of the following: Performing financial transformation and/or reporting for clients within highly regulated environments. Overseeing teams and communicating autonomously with clients. Job requires 1 year of experience in the following: Experience with new accounting guidance and auditing approaches, including changes in accounting standards, ISA’s, IAS’s and IFRS’s. For applicants located in California, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity.
