Associate Director, Video Media Investment

IPG Mediabrands is seeking an Associate Director (Video) to lead and manage high-level client relationships, develop strategic media partnerships, and lead a team through the full national buying process for multiple clients. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration across agency disciplines to meet client goals and business objectives.

Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Oversight and leadership of client relationships.
• Aligning with client goals and acting as a strategic partner to exceed them.
• Strengthening and broadening client relationships resulting in a deeper footprint with the organization.
• Partner with the finance and project management team to ensure delivery and drive profitability.
• Drive the integrated business process, coordinating all disciplines to support the business.
• Lead a team executing the full national buying process for each client, including branded content development, audience tracking, strategic negotiations, and post-buy analysis.
• Participate in conflict resolution and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Contribute to thought leadership, proposals, and reporting.
• Support MAGNA agency-wide media partnerships in a cost-effective manner for the client.
• Responsible for team development and growth.
• Collaborate with outside agencies or oversee partner agencies as needed.
• Work with analytics to determine KPI selection and evaluation metrics for media recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to manage a team or multiple teams across assigned business.
• Strong oral and written communication and solid presentation skills.
• Team player who can support projects and help junior team members shine.
• Ability to communicate decisions and solutions effectively to the team.
• Ability to translate ideas into feasible recommendations aligned with the brief.
• Passionate about innovation and the creative process; contributes ideas and supports client objectives.
• Passionate about advertising and sharing that passion with others.
• Management and supervisory experience required.
• Well-versed in all aspects of media, particularly National TV, Video, Streaming, and Advanced TV.
• Mediabrands does not require candidates to have a college degree.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of agency experience with extensive experience managing a client and 2+ direct reports.
• Previous experience in sporting media planning/investment or a strong interest in sports is preferred.
