Job Summary Join our team as the Associate Director of Parent & Family Giving. In this role, you will lead initiatives for a growing parent philanthropy program and contribute to the Annual Giving team by developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement and solicitation strategy for families of Colorado College students. You will build relationships with a portfolio of potential annual and major gift donors and partner with alumni relations and development staff to research, recruit, and solicit high net worth families, enhancing engagement of high-capacity parents. Responsibilities Develop, implement and manage programs and initiatives to foster a sustainable culture of philanthropy among current and past parents and families, under the advisement of the Director of Annual Giving. Identify, cultivate, solicit, secure, and steward gifts of $1,874 - $50,000 from current and past parents and families. Establish and strengthen relationships within the Colorado College Parents Council and provide strategic guidance to achieve philanthropic outcomes. Conduct in-person and virtual meetings, maintain ongoing communications, participate in strategic events, and maintain the council and members’ online presence. Provide insights for direct marketing materials and contribute to planning of strategic outreach, donor impact statements, and visual assets; review communications pieces for accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the Associate Vice President for Development and Director of Major Gifts on executing parent and family engagement and fundraising strategies, including Parents Council recruitment. Partner with AVP for Advancement Services to ensure collection, enhancement, and maintenance of critical constituent data for Parents and Families. Participate in campus life and develop partnerships beyond the Advancement team; travel as needed to cultivate relationships and support events. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus at least three years of experience in fundraising, volunteer management, and event coordination. Ability to initiate, organize, and follow through with program plans; strong organizational and customer service skills; attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects with varying complexity and urgency; independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities; adaptability to shifting priorities. Excellent verbal and written communications skills; knowledge of database management systems. Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends; discretion with confidential information. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurable driving record under Colorado College’s policy.
