Associate Director of Student Engagement and Student Center Operations

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Engagement:
- Plan programming for the Office of Student Engagement with a focus on evenings and weekends.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Student Engagement Platform and App.
- Update web pages and University portal, and social media posts; create and email a weekly newsletter of events to the campus community; utilize displays on advertising TVs in the Student Center using appropriate software, and train a student worker to assist with the Bright Author program.
- Hire and supervise student marketing assistants to design the advertising and marketing of student engagement opportunities.
- Work with student groups that request to host food trucks for events to ensure that contracts are completed, along with other University requirements.
- Work with student groups who are approved to host events with outside food vendors; produce contracts for the vendor and ensure that the University's receipt of all required documents from the vendor is complete.
- Share responsibility with other staff members for advising student events.
- Serve as a resource person to students, campus clubs, and student organizations.
- Meet with clubs and organizations that are planning campus events to review logistical needs.
- Continually assess efforts to ensure appropriate use of University resources.
- Support other areas within the Divisional and campus-wide programming efforts, including, but not limited to, New Student Orientation, Residential programming, Welcome Week, Homecoming, Springfest, Open House, and Commencement.
- Be available to students and staff at irregular hours, including attending student and university-related functions as a representative of the University during weekends and evenings.
- Prepare documentation including annual reports, assessment projects and other materials as required.
- Co-advise the Student Activities Board (SAB).
- Advise Omicron Delta Kappa national honor leadership society.
- Other duties as assigned.
Student Center Operations:
- Responsible for the overall management of the Rebecca Stafford Student Center (RSSC) and oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Work with Central Scheduling to approve the usage of Anacon Hall for events.
- Coordinate reservations and usage of Nagy Common.
- Coordinate event set-ups in the RSSC.
- Coordinate custodial overtime needs with the Office of Facilities Management.
- Hire, Train and Supervise Student Center Information Booth Staff & Building Manager Staff.
- Hire, Train and Supervise the RSSC student Set-Up Crew and Student Supervisor.
- Create a yearly assessment of the services offered by the Rebecca Stafford Student Center.
- Assign office space to clubs & organizations and assess the usage of those offices.
- Manage the budget for the Rebecca Stafford Student Center.
Residence Life:
- Participate in the on-call duty rotation for the Office of Residence Life.
- Live in university-owned housing.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings for the office of Residence Life.
- A valid driver's license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years. University Policy found here: Monmouth University Vehicle Use Policy.
- Bachelor's degree
- Live in university-owned housing.

- Master's Degree in Student Personnel Services at the college level, Higher Education Administration, Counseling or related field.
- 1-3 years professional experience in Student Life.
