You will step into the role of Associate Director of Medical Affairs, overseeing and guiding Clinical Directors within your assigned area. Your contribution will be essential in achieving center performance objectives, financial growth, and fostering a culture of excellence. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will also dedicate time to direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or undertake other clinical duties, depending on the needs of the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the performance of Medical Directors across multiple centers, maintaining a consistent presence to ensure clinical efficacy.
Achieve successful clinical operations that meet or exceed financial plans and objectives.
Mentor and support Medical Directors to optimize clinical outcomes and team performance.
Facilitate the development of clinical talent through practice mentorship, individual meetings, leadership development plans, and performance assessments.
Promote a positive and cohesive physician culture aligned with our core values and service standards.
Assist in onboarding and training new practitioners in the centers.
Participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates for primary care and specialist roles.
Collaborate with clinical and talent acquisition teams to enhance clinical talent management and growth.
Establish strong relationships with payers, specialists, and the community to drive initiatives and enhance visibility.
Monitor overall market culture, addressing workplace concerns swiftly and effectively.
Review and approve center-level patient referrals and support market referral management.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined, you may be tasked with the following:
Support the Regional President in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing market performance.
Oversee monthly scorecard evaluations and collaborate with clinical leadership on clinical metrics analysis.
Develop strong relationships with providers and key stakeholders.
Utilize local market insights to drive clinical initiatives and improvements.
Achieve excellent clinical outcomes while managing a patient panel as a PCP (20% of time).
Qualifications:
MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or relevant specialty required.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with 3 years preferred.
Preferred experience as a Medical Director or equivalent, especially in Medicare or Medicaid settings.
Board eligibility is required; board certification is preferred.
Current and active medical license in the state of employment.
Demonstrated high performance as a physician with proven leadership capabilities.
Completion of all internal training and achievement of partnership.
Experience in population risk management and chronic disease care management is favorable.
Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration in quality improvement activities.
Availability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally, up to 30% of the time.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Compensation:
Salary range: $250,426 - $357,752
