The director acts as the entrepreneurial business manager with the goal of long-term customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, market share and profitability. Although the role is focused on North America, this leader will interface with other global service leaders to share best practices and support common global service initiatives where needed.The director is accountable for virtually all aspects of the initiative deployment without having direct authority over the resources required to deliver the results. This leader will work directly with the business leaders in products, services, finance, sales, operations, communications, and training to deploy all aspects of the defined plan.How you will do itAs the Associate Director, Fire Service Initiatives you will lead the definition, development and deployment of Fire service initiatives for the North America Fire Services team to contribute to profitable Service Growth globally.You will identify program scope, budget, schedule, resources and business cases for new service initiatives.You will develop and deliver the implementation plans and targets, securing alignment and commitment from all relevant functions including field, commercial, marketing, operations, manufacturing, training, communications and finance.You will manage issues, risks and opportunities, assisting team members in removing roadblocks and communication to management about issues where leadership assistance is needed.You will support field adoption of digital security service solutions by supporting the development of training programs, marketing campaigns, and other programmatic tools.You will work under minimal supervision and partner with leaders across North American field and functional groups.You will act independently to resolve challenges and to address opportunities related to the portfolio.You will confidently present solutions, interface with executives, field leadership and local teams, and hold others accountable.What we look forBachelor’s Degree in a related field. Engineering or other technical degree preferred. Master’s degree preferred.Preferred fifteen (15) years of progressive experience of program management and/or service operations experience required, preferred experience in the following areas:Ten (10) years' experience in the Fire industry, preferably with focus on security/security serviceFive (5) years related management experience in field operations and/or product developmentExperience in driving change management initiative and/or transformative digital services offeringProject Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification preferredSix Sigma green belt or black belt preferredProficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail, collaboration, and Microsoft Office software. Power BI and SharePoint development experience preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.Effective and professional communication and organization skills.Superior negotiation skills.Ability to Adjust communication style in response to varying situations, groups, and cultures, and engage and advise others to ensure the desired outcomeAdjust efforts and approaches to meet goals and deadlinesAnalyze and draw conclusions based on less-than-complete dataEnable and support others to make decisions and take reasonable risksIdentify and remove obstacles that may interfere with successEnsure that individuals and team members understand the impact of their contributionUse structured analysis to assess and mitigate risk
