Overview Harbor Health Services, Inc. is seeking a talented Associate Director of Dental Services to join the Dental Leadership Team. This position will be based at our Hyannis and Dennis, MA Dental locations and will oversee those locations. Harbor Health operates 4 Dental Clinics located in Boston, Plymouth, Hyannis and Dennis, MA.

Responsibilities Works with the Director of Dental Services and the Administrative Director of Dental Operations and Quality to provide clinical leadership and administrative support to the HHSI Dental team.
Spends approximately half of work time as a practicing dentist, with potential practice in Community Health Centers and Elder Service Plan/PACE programs.
Collaborates with the Dental leadership team to manage and develop the dental practices.
Provides direct, comprehensive dental care to patients.
Assists in supervising Limited Licensed Dentists, Hygienists, and other clinical staff; includes Residents and students.
Acts as the acting Dental Director in the Directors absence in accordance with regulations.
Provides feedback and collaboration on department quality improvement initiatives, policy and protocol development, and strategic planning.
Champions the clinical peer review process.
Supports department budget management.
Aids in timely resolution of patient concerns.
Completes review of clinical training for new provider-level staff.
Conducts clinical audits as assigned.
May represent the dental department on assigned committees or advocacy groups as directed by the Executive Director.
Duties may include reporting to and/or remaining at work during emergency operations.
Qualifications DMD or DDS degree from an accredited college or university; fully licensed in Massachusetts.
Master of Public Health preferred.
Current Massachusetts (Full) Dental License, Current DEA, Current MCSR, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
3+ years as a dentist with at least 1 year in a supervisor/management role.
Residency may substitute for 2 years of experience.
Knowledge of electronic dental practice systems; EPIC/OCHIN desired.
Experience with dental coding and billing practices.
Budgeting and accounting knowledge; strong training capabilities.
Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Ability to travel between Harbor Health sites as needed.
