Associate Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement

Overview Summary: This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the organization’s activities to ensure compliance with government and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Plans, and coordinates program reviews to ensure service is consistent with established quality and compliance standards.
Monitors performance of programs to ensure/evaluate quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and adjust as required.
Maintains records in accordance with agency, government and other funding sources, accreditation and/or licensing requirements.
Maintains and reviews forms, files, and charts to ensure accuracy and model industry best practices.
Conducts quality audits of service plans, files, and a wide variety of data.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring programs.
Produces reports on the overall quality and compliance status of programs.
Formulates and maintains quality control objectives in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality, reliability and minimize costs.
Ensures all services provided to residents are in accordance with agency contracts.
Ensures adherence to program policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community.
Cooperates with others to research, plan, and implement new program initiatives.
Recommends long and short-range plans for each program unit for improved client service and to compliment the mission of the organization.
Recommends policy and program changes to increase effectiveness, meet goals, and/or better serve the needs of the community.
Assists in the development of training programs for staff and the community.
Collaborates with Manager and/or team members to maintain best needs of the programs.
Coordinates with outside referral resources and outreach services.
Coordinates tasks, goals, and objectives with assigned staff.
Represents the organization at Compliance and Quality related seminars, workshops, trainings, meetings and events.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, seven plus years’ experience directing program compliance activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
CADC – Required.
LCPC or LCSW is a plus.
Computer skills required: Database Software; Internet Software; Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Order Processing Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); and General Ledger.
Other skills required:
Advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing social services to clients.
Knowledgeable about community programs and resources for clients.
Possess high level time management and organizational skills.
Ability to perform all aspects of direct service to clients in a variety of recovery settings.
Ability to work with ongoing caseloads and related projects.
Maintain composure and positive attitude in high stress situations.
Remain objective.
Effectively communicate with others.
Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
