Position Summary: As Otsuka navigates the complexities of brand stewardship and upcoming product launches, the Associate Director of Channel Strategy and Patient Affordability will play a pivotal strategic and operational role within our team. This position is key in designing and optimizing cross-functional programs to ensure seamless access, distribution, and affordability, balancing short-term execution with long-term scalability. In light of increasing external pressures (e.g., 340B, patient leakage) and internal shifts (e.g., managing loss of exclusivity, innovative distribution models), this role will be essential in anticipating challenges, optimizing performance, and establishing infrastructure for future growth. Key Responsibilities: Proactive Program Optimization: Oversee performance management for affordability and channel programs across existing brands and new launches. Establish clear metrics and feedback loops to identify gaps, propose enhancements, and deliver continuous improvement ahead of market demand. Launch and LOE Readiness: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create frameworks for new launches and transitions, ensuring business continuity while tailoring strategies to meet unique brand needs. Risk Mitigation & Prioritization: Lead prioritization efforts across the portfolio to allocate resources effectively to high-impact opportunities. Prevent execution breakdowns by identifying gaps and creating contingency plans. Strategic Program Design: Develop scalable operational frameworks that accommodate multiple products and lifecycle stages, ensuring alignment on business goals across Channel Operations, Market Access, and Field teams. Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a strategic resource across market access functions, clarifying interdependencies and ensuring integration of channel strategies. Market Intelligence Integration: Monitor external factors such as policy changes and competitor models, translating implications into tactical adjustments that sustain patient access and minimize revenue risk. People Development & Future Planning: Enhance team capacity and contribute to long-term success through talent development and succession planning. Qualifications/ Required Knowledge/ Experience, Skills and Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, particularly in payer or channel functions. Proven experience in performance tracking and quarterly business review development. Experience working in a matrix management structure with project management and people management skills. Demonstrated success in program management and leading cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
