Responsibilities: We are establishing a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) program within Lilly Oncology to support Scientific Experts (SEs) in acquiring deep scientific and clinical knowledge. The MSL will maintain extensive knowledge of Lilly and competitor products and current oncology issues, gather feedback from SEs, and inform Lilly’s research and strategic direction. The primary focus will be Hematologic Malignancies, supporting community and academic scientific experts with information on agents in development for Hematologic Malignancies. The MSL will develop relationships with external clients and internal partners, serving as a Lilly representative and connecting SEs with internal resources such as Discovery Scientists, Outcomes Research, and Clinical Development teams. The role involves reporting clinical insights and customer questions to relevant teams, maintaining technical expertise, and engaging in continuous learning through scientific meetings and literature review. Administrative activities include utilizing resources like VEEVA, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and PubMed, ensuring compliance with procedural standards, and proper documentation. Basic Qualifications: Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience. Masters or bachelor’s degree in health sciences (e.g., RN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years of clinical or medical information experience in oncology. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship anticipated). Additional Skills/Preferences: Experience in oncology, including with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. Strong scientific curiosity, communication, and networking skills. Experience with malignant hematology and radioligand/theranostics is preferred. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel overnight (~60%), including work on weekends. Location: Preferred near a major airport within Minnesota (Rochester), Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Illinois. The role is field-based with about 60% travel. Additional Information: This position requires travel, proficiency with electronic communication tools, and the ability to work in a field environment.
