Job Details Job Function: Medical Affairs Group Job Sub Function: Medical Science Liaison Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Irvine, California, United States of America Posting Title: Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, Cardiac Electrophysiology Remote: Fully Remote in the United States Responsibilities Drive key initiatives in KOL engagement, advisory boards, research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence between Biosense Webster Scientific Affairs and the academic/non-academic surgical community. Develop and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals; identify unmet needs and scientific gaps in medical research and clinical practice paradigms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, Research & Development) to provide scientific input and insights. Communicate complex scientific information effectively to healthcare professionals and provide clinical support during voice of customer sessions. Stay current with the latest scientific research and trends in cardiac electrophysiology and structural heart to provide up-to-date guidance to internal and external stakeholders. Lead the preparation of materials for science presentations and participate in scientific symposia, conferences, and educational programs. Support clinical studies and research initiatives by providing scientific and technical expertise and maintaining communication with external KOLs and authors. Provide training and education to internal teams, including Sales and Marketing, to ensure a deep understanding of scientific messaging. Participate in internal trainings to ensure a thorough understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and appendage closure platforms. Organize, analyze, and report on customer, scientific, and market information for pre-launch and marketed products; develop educational materials and support programs for personnel. Discuss Investigator Initiated and Collaborative study concepts with clinicians.
Qualifications Advanced Degree Required (MD, PhD) Minimum 5 years of experience in biotech industry focusing on cardiovascular medicine Minimum 5 years in Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison/Clinical Practice preferred Extensive knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, preferably cardiac electrophysiology Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory guidelines, and medical terminology Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data quickly and accurately Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences Highly self-motivated, independent, and adaptable to changing priorities US work authorization required Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Travel: 50%
